Oh those Viennese membership applications
It is an old tradition in LC Vienna that the application for full member status should consist of (besides the formal criteria and an interview) a creative way of showing the applicants passion to the public.
This already lead to a lot of self-made dramas, songs, Christmas-events, self-designed youth magazines and even a radio-broadcast on a Viennese radio-station.
Today one of our members, Alex, sent the EB of LC Vienna an invitation to a self-made dinner. The most important condition he gave us is this one:
"condition 4: suggestions are only accepted via mail, message board, blog, telephone, letter, f2f, mime, on tape (no video 2000 please), on a flipchart paper, over the radio and in the most spread newspapers of vienna and kalibukbuk (not including the bali times, i hate that one). other methods are not accepted. YOU have to make sure i'll receive the suggestion!"
So I will do this now:
I'm not that sure about the detailed recipe, but I would like to make some recommendations
- as this will be a vegetarian menu, I don't want any casserole (auflauf), as I don't like vegetarian casserole
- I would suggest something with these chinese noodles (glass noodles?), with some garlic and spices they taste wonderful!
- I like roasted or fried stuff very much in general. Baking is also fine (in my flat we once made baked sesam-potatoes as a side-dish. I hate stew.
Enough? If not, comment, dear Alex.
(the picture below is there for purely illustratory reasons - as we will have a vegetarian dinner, our actual dish may look differently)
